The New York City Department of Transportation initiated the component rehabilitation of two Bronx River Boulevard bridges over the Bronx River. The two concrete arch bridges are adjacent to each other on Bronx Boulevard near 211th Street, and provide access to and from the Williamsbridge area of the Bronx. MJA’s community liaison updated the public on construction activities provided elected officials and community boards with project updates, developed project newsletters and attended community meetings on behalf of NYCDOT. Additionally, MJA worked with the project team to coordinate and communicate closures, rerouting of buses, pedestrian impacts, and local parking impacts.
