MTA ADA Upgrades and Circulation Improvements at Broadway Junction

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s ADA Upgrades and Circulation Improvements at Broadway Junction Complex project will improve passenger circulation and bring new ADA accessible features to the station complex. The Broadway Junction Station provides service to five subway lines (A/C, J/Z, and L) as well as various bus connections, making it an important transfer point within the transit system. Station improvements will include a new pedestrian bridge crossing to provide easier transfer connections, the replacement of three escalators, installation of new stairs and ADA- compliant boarding areas, and installation of seven new elevators. In addition, construction of a new community accessible restroom at Callahan Kelly Playground, and improvements to MTA-owned parking facilities are also included.
