Alejandra Cabrales, Senior Project Manager
Alejandra Cabrales is a Senior Project Manager at Melissa Johnson Associates, serving as the Public Outreach Manager for the Design-Build team on Phase 2, Contract 2 of the Second Avenue Subway extension in East Harlem. She provides on-site support to keep communities informed about construction activities, acting as the primary liaison between the project team and residents, businesses, commuters, community boards, elected officials, merchant associations, and city and state agencies. Alejandra works with the MTA outreach team to lead inclusive, multilingual stakeholder engagement through outreach materials, public meetings, site visits, and stakeholder presentations.
Prior to joining MJA, Alejandra spent four years conducting economic and policy analysis, designing governance frameworks for local governments and philanthropic partners, and leading cross-functional community engagement for a range of city agencies and advocacy organizations.
Alejandra holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies, with a Concentration in Urban Planning, from the University of Pennsylvania, and is bilingual in English and Spanish.
