The Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s Flushing Line Improvements Project will rehabilitate sections of the New York City Transit Flushing Line between 48th Street and 72nd Street, including upgrades to the 61st Street-Woodside and 74th Street-Broadway stations.
Melissa Johnson Associates is managing public outreach on behalf of MTA and the design-build team. The project’s public outreach manager works closely with the local community, including many small storefronts and local businesses, as well as residents along Roosevelt Avenue and local streets. MJA coordinates closely with the MTA and PM consultant to ensure that outreach to the public is consistent and inclusive of all stakeholders. MJA’s team is responsible for on-site outreach, project updates for the general public, digital and print project materials, and other methods designed to support a transparent, community-oriented transit infrastructure project.
